La exposición “Archivos Atómicos” presenta el contenido del Harddiskmuseum, un Museo de archivos de obras de arte únicas, ideado en en 2013 y fundado oficialmente por el artista Solimán López a finales de 2014.

Concebido inicialmente como un tributo a la creación contemporánea actual, el Harddiskmuseum es una referencia mundial conceptual sobre los nuevos formatos del arte contemporáneo, en el que los archivos digitales juegan un papel fundamental.

La gran parte de la obra creada actualmente tiene su naturaleza en estos archivos que con extensiones múltiples como el .jpg, .mov, .html, .mp3, .mp4, .gif y un largo etcétera, generan una cuestión hacia el futuro de la humanidad y el arte.

¿Qué haremos con esta información en el futuro? ¿Cuáles serán los protocolos, motivos y recursos para almacenar de manera perenne esta información?

A este respecto y responsabilidad, el fundador del Museo, en 2019, realizó un gesto único en la historia de la museografía, consiguiendo almacenar la meta data del Harddiskmuseum en ADN y encapsular dicha información en silica, un mineral que guardaría esta copia simbólica casi para siempre.

En la exposición se puede observar la obra de más de 140 artistas de 40 nacionalidades, que se han ido sumando a esta iniciativa que sigue creciendo.

Obras de video, imagen estática, interactivos, sonido, 3D conforman un recorrido conceptual sobre la creación reciente del arte “new media”, ofreciendo al espectador una mirada global a la realidad del futuro del arte, sus dispositivos, retos, soportes y conceptos.

Una inmersión hacia el mundo de lo intangible.

Por que para mí, lo intangible no es aquello que no se puede tocar, sino lo que no se puede almacenar. Y, ¿acaso hay algo que no se pueda contener? ¿acaso no estamos contenidos en un espacio intangible? ¿acaso las ideas no son de suyas así, definidas como intocables, intangibles e imposibles de guardar?

HDM limits processing personal data to an absolute minimum. However, it will always require certain personal data, such as for the provision of all products and services offered by the museum. We need for example your data for your subscriptions to our educative section or affiliations. There are also other instances when we require your personal data, for instance when you subscribe to our email communication, attend an event or activity in the museum or apply to be a partner. In addition, we collect personal data when you make use of our websites and/or social media channels, such as your IP address and the browser that you are using. This data is only used in order to analyse how our website is working and may also be used for marketing purposes (Google Analytics). 

In principle, this data will not be supplied to third parties, unless this is necessary for the service in question, or if we are legally obliged to do so. We do our utmost to ensure that this data is secured to the best of our ability. 

Personal data will be stored for the shortest possible length of time, taking into account legal retention periods.
