Collective exhibition X BARCU 2020
The Pioneers refers to the first artists who occupied the Harddiskmuseum in 2015.
Since then the project has increased its capacity and collection.
On the occasion of the new version of the Colombian contemporary art fair BARCÚ in digital format, the Harddiskmuseum is invited to make a very special exhibition prepared for the occasion, occupying a gallery space designed by the architect Antonio Ángel Ballesteros in a staging developed and designed by the Updated Art Studio for the important fair and festival of Colombia.
Curated by Harddiskmuseum

EXHIBITION CONCEPT
The beginnings of the Harddiskmuseum were based on a curatorial idea very close to the metalanguages of the digital and the hypertexts of technology.
The work of Rubén Tortosa and his analyses of the surface of the image and the relationships between the bit and the atom. These analyses are extended by Inma Femenía and her abstractions of light, now deeper than ever.
As deep are the waves obtained by analogical forms from Bosch&Simons, which manages to bring the aesthetics of the digital from the greatest of the simplicity of the natural and tangible world.
A world from which Hugo Martínez-Tormo extracts its fragments and vestiges of technology to rethink and reconfigure them as a piece of contemporary thought, as a pure concept that speaks about our present and the challenges of the future.
These challenges are incessantly reconstructed by Fabien Zocco’s bots and automatons, which, thanks to intelligent code, are capable of building spaces of thought that are self-directed by coding, with an artist’s hand that is increasingly fading.
All these concepts are updated in this new proposal of the first artists of the Harddiskmuseum, who have not stopped their effort and enthusiasm during this already more than 5 years of relationship.
