Guillermo Jones was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1977. Graduated in Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires, Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism. He took courses in Corporate Identity at the Postgraduate Department of the U.B.A. F.A.D.U. and the Specialization in Media and Technologies for the Pictorial Production, Postgraduate of the Universidad Nacional de las Artes. He currently teaches the subject Audiovisual in the Specialization in Media and Technologies for the Pictorial Production Postgraduate of the U.N.A. He has shown his work in both solo and group exhibitions. In 2011 he won the 3rd prize in the Photography and Video Competition of the Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Latin America (CRESPIAL / UNESCO).
He is interested in perception. He investigates the dilemma between being and seeming; the subtleties of the mind that result in “reality”, an interpreted reality. In his work he uses different disciplines and means of expression, especially linked to the generation of digital images, video or photography.
